Just been diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer after an MRI Scan. Very worried.
Kind regards James.
Thanks all,
I have had a pain in my lower back right side just on or above the hip bone. Got it into my head this is Kidney Cancer from my Prostrate and Bladder. It's a dull ache and hurts when I press. Started 1 day ago.
Worried.
Kind regards James.
Hi James
Personal opinion - if you are worried, contact your GP first thing on Monday morning. If it's bringing on your anxiety ring 111 and give them your details - where you are with your treatment and see what they say. It may and I hope be nothing.
Best wishes
Brian.

Hi James,
I am no doctor but it could be just a urine infection. I have had similar pain when I have had a kidney infection. As Brian says, if it is really bad ring 111.
Best regards
Gina
Should I have a Nurse to contact. My GP thinks there should have been one there when I saw the surgeon but he was on his own.
I had a Colorectal Nurse when I had the problem with my Bowels.
Kind regards James.
My husband has a Urology Nurse he can contact, but there is no Oncology Nurse nor contact number for the Oncologist. His only opportunity for questions is when he goes every three weeks for chemotherapy, unless he rings the general number for the Cancer Unit. Sorry - not a lot of help.
We were given numbers for oncology nurses and I think also urology. We are under Peterborough Hospital, and I have to say they have been very good.
I agree with Gina - go for it James and Brian! When Gina and I met it seemed like we had known each other forever rather than meeting for the first time f2f!
pits really good to have someone on your doorstep!
Thanks so much for replying.
I will try and see my Doctor about the pain tomorrow. When I am not moving it eases off. My OCD links everything to the Prostrate and serious illness. Having a bad say today.
Kind regards James.
The pain is muscular. my Doctor gave me a thorough check up and tested a Urine sample today.
Kind regards James.
Hi James
Well that's good news - it's not what you thought it was and not even a UTI. It's great to know you have a good Doctor who is looking after you.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop - we are all behind you in dealing with this.
Best wishes
Brian.
