I was diagnosed on 27/7/2022
My consultant told me, I have low risk prostrate cancer.
Gleeson 3+3 6 found.
PSA destiny 0.08
Not sure what options to take next.
Thanks for letting join.
Dave.
Update Aug 10 my oclogisc not sure how it spelt, said it's that low he will put me on active surveillance.
Hi Davey. It's non bacterial. Inflammation basically. I've tried several courses of cipro but without success. I just have to live with it and take pain killers when it flares up. Maybe it will get better eventually.
On AS, I have had quarterly PSA Tests and it has risen from around 3 to 5 over the years, which is normal. I have had annual MRIs but no more biopsies.
I am pleased that I chose AS.
Best wishes
Hi
He recovered really well from the operation, but is still having ED and incontinence , but it is still very early days. He would have gone the brachytherapy route but by the time he had been properly assessed (covid meant he didn’t get the monitoring he should have) his prostate was too large , something he didn’t really appreciate until he couldn’t have the procedure. AS is a very good process, but just make sure you get the MRI’s as well as blood tests (look up the NICE guidelines on AS) Rich was told it may never have become an issue , but unfortunately it did , hopefully the op was a success (still waiting for an appointment for follow up)
Best wishes
