what are the real dangers in lifestyle such as stress?
Stress probably increases the risk of bad outcomes in cancer as in most other diseases. This is why people who spend their lives obsessing about 'fighting cancer' often don't do as well as those accepting what it is, learning about it ,but concentrating on living.
A favourite story from one of our greatest oncologists (now deceased):
"One of the unsung benefits of the 'get well diet' and the 'stay well diet', is the patients who follow them never get depressed"
Now this was odd; we all knew that he loathed the snake oil salesmen conning frightened people into playing their games, but then he continued ...
"Of course, if you spend most of your waking hours hacking raw vegetables, you haven't got time to be depressed".
Don't get anxious about anxiety; enjoy the life you have.

If I can't beat this, I'm going for the draw.
Meanwhile, my priority is to live while I have the option.
Hi
I would you be stupid if I was to say, stress does not happen at some time while you have PC, it’s called being human, everyone near you suddenly gets a shocked feeling when they find out.
Having said that we all deal with it in different ways, myself I rely on my team to keep me going and OK they’ve been very busy, but still with my welfare they try to do their best. Family are more stressed than me, but I’am a bit different, of course I get upset, but then snap out of it and get on as best I can. If and when you start your meds etc always remember we’re here if you want to talk, or there are more professional people either way, your not on your own.
Stay safe
Joe
