all I am looking for advice so I don't drive and my treatment will be in a different town to where I live which for 20 sessions in a uber taxi there and back for all sessions will work out at £800 which is a lot of money which I am worried about getting to and from my appointments, i dont want to do buses as feeling unwell on a bus with multiple germs wouldnt be ideal, cancer nurses have sadly not offered me no help or support so far which as been extremely mind blowing!! i was told by someone that hospital can put a transport bus on but i don't fancy doing my treatment alone i would rather have my partner by my side i don't suspect they would allow my partner on any hospital transport if there is such thing as hospital transport. also they tell me I need 20 sessions of radiotherapy is this consecutive as this is something I would rather have, is this possible? as work are only allowing me a month off work . It's not just dealing with cancer it's the financial stress what it brings too, my family depend on my wage I am a 1 wage family I have felt rather alone with zero support offered to me thank you everyone for any advice I am greatfull and this page as so far given me the most help/answers

The best advice I can give you is speak to our Support Line on 0808 808 00 00 between 9am and 5pm when you should be able to speak to a financial advisor.
Your hospital Radiotherapy department should have details of local transport arrangements for you - if your hospital has a Maggie's or Macmillan centre they should also have details of any local transport arrangements.
For your Radiotherapy your partner would be able to go as far as the waiting room - but for the treatment you are on your own - there's no facility for them to be with you or watch the treatment.
