Hallo to others on here...

I am new here....just joined recently...

My name is Jim and I am in the East Sussex area on the coast,

I had my prostate op in early January, of this year.

it has been a difficult and stressful time

Trying to eat better and not get too stressed.

I am also trying to set up a new business venture with two other people.

That can be a bit stressful at times. My health is OK to good I think?
But the tiredness hits me at times- a feel of fatigue...

I am interested to hear others experiences and to share further...

Best regards--- Jim

  • Hi Jim and welcome

Sounds like you are doing ok what with starting up a new business as well as going thru the cancer trip.

I was diagnosed in 2013 and had the Radiotherapy rather than surgery.

Everything went ok but as u so rightly say, 'can be stressful at times'.

Mentally I found it very grueling even after treatment finished.

Anyway I wish u well and also good luck with your new venture, obviously u can come on here anytime with queries etc.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Hi Jim

Have you had any return trips to the urology dept ? If so, did they mention what may happen ? Being incurable I have not had surgery. But many on here have.
It is not unusual for fatigue, especial if they have give you hormone tablets, or that type of treatment. I’am a listen to what your body tells you person, if it says rest then rest, pushing yourself soon catches up with you.

Eating wise fish and white meat are the best, drinking it’s pomegranate juice and water, with fresh fruit thrown in. This will all be new to you it’s just getting into a regime. Plus you can stray the odd time, it’s all not wrote in stone.
You will get used to all this it’s stress and pressure.

    Stay safe.

    Joe

  • Hi Jim, now you have the operation over it will take time for you to recover as you have been cut, stitched and things have been moved around somewhat. You will get stronger each day. I felt pretty good after around 4 to 5 months but unfortunately my cancer reappeared and I had to have salvage radiotherapy and hormone therapy. I still get fatigued. All the best.
