Prior to RT but on Zoladex I was getting up twice in the night for a leak, which I was pretty much used to. For a few weeks after pelvic RT it was four or five visits. Over the last month or so it seems to have settled at three or four. I have tried not drinking after 7pm, no alcohol, decaf, toast before bed etc. More undisturbed sleep would be a real bonus. What were your experiences post-RT? Can I any expect any improvement?
I've had a similar issue, and what eventually solved it for me was bladder re-training. I wrote a full post about it :Bladder re-training
Hope this helps.

I had 6 months of HT starting in November last year and 20 days of RT in March. Prior to starting HT I had an enlarged prostate and was visiting the bathroom about once every other night.
During RT I was going about 5 times a night, but over the last month (about 4 months after the end of HT) I can't remember the last time I got up in the night. Still having disturbed sleep, but feels like it's getting better.
Never give up hope.
Hi Amplitude,
Before my RT & HT treatment I was getting up 3 or 4 times a night for a pee which was the main reason I went to the doctors in the first place.
It's now nearly 2 years ago that my RT treatment finished & not far off that for the HT. There are still some nights when I am up 3 or 4 times whereas on others it's only once or twice. Not having anything to drink post 7pm doesn't seem to make a difference & neither does drinking decaffeinated tea or coffee. It's not helped by the fact that I try & drink an additional 2 litres of water a day to help prevent kidney stones, so that may have some bearing (I do love my tea so from a quality of life point of view would absolutely loathe having to cut it out ). Most of the visits are normally within the first few hours of going to bed & then from about 3 I can sleep for 3 or 4 hours when it's time to get up. I'm lucky in that I drop back off to sleep very quickly again & after so many years of being like this I am quite used to it so doesn't cause me much of a problem.
Having said all this I have just read L1m's description on bladder retraining so will give this a go - nothing to lose & lots to gain.
Best Wishes
Brian
Thanks all. L1m I read your article and will definitely give that a go. I have done an ‘old bottle’ measurement and it’s coming on for a litre overnight, so reducing to one or two visits seems feasible in time. Agent99 you have given me some hope of things returning more back-to-normal. Buzzers , yes it’s the first few hours which affect me too, after about 03:30 I sleep through to a decent waking-up time. Those days of having a pint or three in the evening and then sleeping right though are just a distant memory now!
