Hello Everyone
Thank you for all the support you have given to our Community over the past 12 months. So we can keep the forum free for help and advice can we please try and use this thread for Christmas and New Year greetings and the "No Specific Topic" thread for general chit-chat.
On the matter of advice we give to Community members can we please not add either AI or Chat GPT generated advice to threads as we can't confirm these answers come from "trusted sources". Thanks.
On a personal note - that's me done with Hormone Therapy - 3 years completed so I assume I am technically "cancer free". I am on 6 monthly PSA tests for the next 5 years so I will be keeping an eye on things.
So Lorraine (Mrs Millibob) and I would like to wish everyone and their families on the Community a very Happy Christmas and our best wishes for 2025. We hope you all have a well deserved break and have a great holiday with family and friends.
During the Christmas and New year break there will be a normal service from me, however the Support Line will be on reduced hours.
Thanks again for your understanding and continued support.

Hello Seamus (Seamus47)
Many congratulations on what you do for Men's Shed. That and Andy's Man Club do amazing stuff. I am sure you will reach your walking target - the weather in the next two weeks looks to be good(ish).
Best wishes to you and yours for Christmas and have a great 2025.

It's a strange thing this "bond" Prostate Cancer gives you with other folk but I am more than happy to help others who are where I was.

Hi Millibob and everyone else. Well, what can I add that hasn’t already been said? For starters, this time last year I was waiting for my brachytherapy operation (on the 19th Dec) and I had a “wobble”. You brilliant people gathered around me and gave me a virtual hug and reassurance- I’ve never forgotten that. It drove me to contribute even more to my fellow PCa patients on this site: I know just how much this support means in our “hour of need”.
I am in awe of the positive attitude of many of you (and partners!). Throughout my earlier months of PCa (particularly through the uncertainty of diagnosis) the mere thought of you all waiting in the wings to support me as & when I needed it was enough to literally bring emotional tears to my eyes. I hope that I have reciprocated this support (and hope to continue to do so). I may have been on the naughty step a couple of times but - hey - if you don’t live on the edge you’re taking up to much space, eh? AW
Alpine Wanderer, so glad to hear that this forum has helped you. Don't forget that your contributions are helping others.

Forgot to say I hope you have a great Christmas.
