So, I’ve run out of steam! I’ve fought and fought the local health bureaucracy for what seems like forever. I’ve done everything I can to support my husband. He’s had a lot of non prostate things going on as well. Today I was emailing a friend and realised that the only thing I can think or talk about is my husbands health problems. I realised too that his continued state of misery/ depression is just wearing me down. I hardly dare ask how he is doing because it’s always a negative response. I’m worn down and out with it all. This cancer and other illnesses has taken over our lives - hospital appointments, tests, negative mood, constant battles with bureaucracy - where am I in all of this?
sorry , rant over, just having a ‘feel sorry for me’ day
Very sorry to hear that hopefully he gets better soon, rest up and gather your strength xx
Oh dear that’s awful. I hope he’s better soon. Keep strong x
Again, thank you everyone for your care and concern forgive me for an absence of likes and individual replies but here is an update:
we are both shattered and very sleep deprived.
He is home!
the problems have been caused by the medications for the eye - unstable blood pressure , dehydration.
i have for so long been hearing about ambulance delays, long waits in casualty etc. he says the care he received was really good and very prompt.
but…..most importantly he s home, washed out but heaps better than this time yesterday.
it’s been a long 24 hours - more grey hairs for me and an early night for both of us!
please forgive typos etc - sooooo tired!
Great News - He's home, He's much better - have an early night the pair of you and enjoy being re-united.
Another good day for the NHS.
I prescribe a relaxing weekend with much chocolate, some do-nuts and alcohol in moderation!!
Best wishes to the pir of you - - Kind Regards - Brian,
