  • I have registered for it, so will report back if I learn anything. .

Tackle Prostate Cancer also do webinars and I think previous ones can be viewed on their website.

A Google search for Prostate cancer webinars comes up with different options. But I suggest that people only stick to the reputable UK sources.

  • Yes - You are so right.

But I suggest that people only stick to the reputable UK sources.

Unfortunately there is so much out there on "Dr Google" any post with links to outside sites needs to to be "reputable sources"!

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Did you watch the webinar.

I thought it was very informative and the contribution from man who is a PC survivor was very candid.

I'm not sure what my hubby thought of it as I'm not sure how much attention he paid. I kept nudging him to make sure he was awake and he left the room for a while to visit the bathroom and came back with chocolate. He missed one of the most important bits, where they talked about relationships and how PC can bring couples closer together even without sex. I think he was more concerned that he was having to wait for his dinner and munched on a packet of crisps to keep him going. I'm so glad they couldn't see or hear us.

There was so much covered that I can't possibly report back on it all so hopefully they will put it on their website for future viewing.

They have a publication on this subject and many more that you can order free of charge, with a no compulsory donation and I have ordered it this morning.

One thing that was discussed was that erectile disfunction isn't just a risk associated with surgery and hormone therapy, but also radiotherapy can cause damage to the nerves needed for a natural erection to occur.

One of the specialist contributors was talking about an erection not being necessary to have a satisfactory sex life and said that it can be better than before PC. He used the analogy that if you went to a restaurant for a steak and it wasn't on the menu, you would choose something else and if steak wasn't on the menu ever again it wouldn't stop you eating out.

  • Thanks for that  . I didn't watch it myself but your post makes some important points.

Being on the HT/RT journey myself (21months in out of 36) and the ED kicking in quite early in my personal journey, I can confirm that Mrs Millibob and I have found plenty of other ways of showing our love and affection for one another.

The analogy at the end of your post is correct - I am not starving!!

Thanks and best wishes - Brian. Thumbsup
