Any advice .. discomfort after catheter removal

I have had my catheter out for just over a week (after 7 weeks and several complications).. I am passing urine OK .. but I keep getting a strange dull, full slightly painful feeling in my penis .. I can't really describe it  .. it feels as if I have an erection (which sadly haven't) and feels really uncomfortable

Did anyone else get this and if so does it pass?

I have had a PSA test yesterday and am seeing the Urology specialist next Friday .. so if no ideas here I will bring it up with him ... hopefully it will go by then !!!

  • Hello Nick W

I hope that you do not mind me replying but I noticed that you had not had an answer yet and thought by responding it may help move your post to the top where someone who has experienced similar may see it.

I am sorry that you are experiencing discomfort after your catheter has been removed. I wonder whether it would be worth contacting your CNS just to check whether this is normal after catheter removal or whether they might want to check for an infection etc. I see that you are seeing your urologist next Friday but that's a long time to wait if you are having discomfort still.
