It's been around a month since I finished my R/T and am generally feeling fine, I would like to ask if anyone else has found that they can't drink alcohol without waking the next day without a banging headache. I can't seem to have even one beer without suffering the next day, could it be down to the hormone treatment?, any tips or tricks gratefully received.
Hi.. has anyone mentioned how long aftre RT before you can have alcohol, caffine, fizzy drinks ? I doubt theres a set rule but a rough guidline...
Hi whatsisname - I completed my last fraction of RT - was very emotional - rang the bell on the way out to confirm I had completed my treatment - and 10 seconds later was a 67 year old man - a quivering wreck in a chair in reception with uncontrolled tears --- however
Half an hour later I went for a couple of pints of finest bitter with some of my mates, I felt great - a month with no alcohol, very little coffee and no fizzy drinks - yes I felt great.
4 months down the line - I feel amazing - I still drink the "odd" beer - still drink coffee but have left the fizzy drinks alone.
I don't think there is a rule - just be like me - "A man of moderation".
I hope it all goes well for you.
Kind Regards
Brian.

Cheers Brian ... I have to be honest I am not feeling the Bell.. maybe because I thought it was for getting the all clear so its a bit of a non event now in my head :( But I cheer and clap when others ring it and I may feel different when its my turn
I am not a big drinker myself..I can feel alcohol on the first drink, But definitely missing a pint in this weather
If my journey goes half as good as yours I will be happy.. so far it is going good. Just need to keep my fingers crossed nothing bad from the RT which I gather I will know after 2 weeks
Good that your enjoying life :) long may it continue.
