Good luck on your last day on the sunbed and remember to give that bell some Welly!
I have booked me an Mrs Millibob and Henry and Toby our two dogs a weeks holiday up there in the north (Northumberland) today.
Enjoy your well deserved holiday.
When you say you've booked a holiday in the North ....you are already in the North fella.! From where I am...just outside Brighton...everything I North. But holidays are great and well deserved.
As a child I child I spent most of my holidays with my parents in Worthing and as my dad said - it's way down South!! Before the motorways it was a 9 hour drive - it was a long way.
I consider myself to live in the North West of England nestling in the foothills of the Pennines (well it sounds great but it's Oldham!!) once described in advertising by our council as "A town in the countryside".
Northumberland is miles away - it's past Newcastle - It's so far North you almost need subtitles when they speak to you!(cue unimpressed Geordies!!)
It's all a matter of perspective - I think people who live near Chester are "southerners" .
But wherever you live England (North or South) Wales, Scotland or Ireland we have a fantastic country with an amazing set of people wherever you go or live - I can listen to Geordies talk for hours too (am I forgiven?).
Brian.

Freefaller, was your course "Living with and beyond Prostate Cancer"?
I done that 6 week course last summer. I got a lot out of it. Learned so much.
Definitely recommend it to anyone. Mine was here at Maggie's in Newcastle.
I think they are looking at starting another one, they find it hard to get speakers available (Doctors, Oncologists, PC Nurses, etc...).

WW, Never been to Northumberland? With it on my doorstep I take it for granted.
It's a beautiful place, I prefer North Yorkshire.

yes it may very well have been I can't remember the actual name as it's my wife who looks at all these things and books them - I just turn up. It was good they covered diet and fitness and had various guest speakers so whatever it was called it sounds like it is a similar thing.
Definitely check it out if you live near a Maggie's Centre.
