Had a few of them myself, I have a choice of 3 clubs, the closest is a 10 minutes walk, I'm a life member so don't have to pay for my card 

Wow - The Bluebell - Robinsons. Afraid I am a J W Lees man living "over the border" in Royton. Spent 40 years drinking in The Dog & Partridge on Middleton Road until the brewery demolished it. Off to The Railway in the centre of Royton later for a cranberry juice. I am one of the people who don't know what a bottle of dog is - enlightenment please? Off course you can get J W Lees's fine ales on Anglesey.

I would frequent a Lees pub often, i'd normally drink Lees Bitter if it had been looked after. Many a happy night on a monday playing darts in the JW Lees league. Bottle of Dog is Newcastle Brown Ale

Dog is the local name for brown ale
