This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • I think that your diaries would make for a really good book and also would help so many of the men ( and their wives/. partners) when confronted with a PC diagnosis!  Congratulations on your 4 year anniversary! It gives all of us hope! Enjoy Notts and look out for Robin Hood!!!

  • Hello Steve

Yes, a cracking result - Newcastle in Europe thanks to Manchester United and a shocking referee!!

Enjoy your holiday - I am waiting for the results of my scan before I book anything so it's a trip for me through the "polo mint" at dinner time!!

I am 6 months behind you with my diagnosis - only 3.5 years but it's been some learning curve and thanks to "you lot" for all your help and advice - as I always say we are a great bunch on this group.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • Brian, I'd say it's a combined thanks to me everyone

Remember the advert from years ago "polo mints are a minty bit stronger..."

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • I do indeed as the response was

"Trebor mints last a bloody sight longer"

This growing old isn't good - at least we can still remember "stuff".

  • My discovery was that Polo mints are the real sweet with the less fattening centre. Blush

    Steve

    Changed, but not diminished.
  • Hi Steve and Steve ( &

it might be me but I clearly remember someone selling tubes or round packets of mints - They were massive in size and were bright green.  Tell me I am right and what they were please?

    Thanks - Brian.

  • R says about growing old - "it's not worth the wait"!!!

  • Weren't the one is a round green packet the Trebor mints then?

  • No - Trebor mints were white, polo's without the hole and raised writing. These were bright green and almost a spearmint but were sold as mints.

    It's bugging me now!!

  • I have Googled the hell out of it, and all I can find is Trebor Soft Peppermints, not the extra strong ones which clear your nasal passages at ten paces. They were soft and could have been green.
