This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
The funny thing, I'm not very good talking to people who I don't know, but today with my little brother (55 year old) we both felt like we knew eachother.
He's had his PSA done, came back okay. The one thing we do share is we both had DVTs and are both on blood thinners.

Gina, he's also been getting checked out for Bowel cancer, as that's a popular cancer in my family.
I could have got to know Bruce 18 months ago. He met my sister and eldest brother then. All they told Bruce was my name, and they don't talk to me anymore.
The B******* could have given him my address!!!
How weird is this?? Bruce lives in Seven Oaks, runs his own 'drone' business, and last August he was test-flying some for a company beside where I worked in Burradon... Only about 1/2 mile from our bungalow!!! And we were both totally unaware of each other!
I did text him this morning and he sent me a selfie.
Hope you have a good weekend.

Hello everyone. It is now 11 weeks since my Peter died suddenly and he is one of the small number who has prostate cancer being put down as a cause of death. Life is now developing into a new set of norms but has been busy sorting all the legalities in both Greece and the UK band I am getting there. I was Peter's carer since 1997 but this took on a new dimension when he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in August 2020 and life revolved around doctors appointments, treatments and keeping him as well as possible whilst enjoying ourselves and living life to the full. His disabilities limited what and where we could go so now it is my time to start ticking off some of the things I have had on my bucket list starting with a trip to Egypt in March.
For anyone who has been given a stage 4 diagnosis please remember that treatment has advanced considerably in the last 5 years and Peter's oncologist still had more tools in the toolbox even for Peter's aggressive form of cancer. Our mantra was to stay positive and enjoy every day to the full.
Hello Alwayshope
Lovely to hear from you and I hope all is well in Greece. I know it's been a hard 11 weeks and I am so pleased to see you back here, back amongst friends and also that you are going to have some "me" time.
Peter was one of the people I had in my mind last night watching the Festival of Remembrance (I normally attend our war memorial on Remembrance Sunday but had to go out to a poorly relative this morning!).
You are so right that Stage 4 is very treatable and the majority of us who have Prostate cancer also suffer from other comorbidities which tend not to help our general health!!
Our mantra was to stay positive and enjoy every day to the full.
You are so right - and please do carry on doing what you do best.
If I can do anything for you please do let me know.
Kind Regards - Brian x
