This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • You have to keep up with Steve and me Laughing

  • I am new to all this - I've only had my diagnosis for 12 months so I have a lot to learn!!

I blame it all on the hormones (awaits reply saying that's a load of bo**ocks)!!Wink

  • So this is where you are hidden, aren't you all a bit old for hide and seek, just as well I've had covid since new year, nevermind fit again, no your fine Millibob blame the hormone's

  • Oh no, poor you. What a bad start to the New Year. Hope you are over it now and fighting fit (ish).

  • I used to blame the Hormones for everything until they deserted me about 2 weeks ago.

Just for that I had a rogue Hot Flush last night.  D'oh!

  • Ulls is gradually getting back to his best again.

  • In my defense, the doctor did say about my motor skills.  I didn't put 2 & 2 together until Brian mentioned it.

Anyway, Brian, hope the Radiotherapy goes well today.

Don't let the fatigue grind you down.  Easier said than done of course.

I'm still fighting it some 13 months after my last Radiation session.

    But that's another story.

Brian, do they have a Bell at the hospital you go to for your Radiation treatment?

  • Good Morning All

All is well with me, Ulls is better and Steve is in line for treatment  - if it's not the hormones it must be the new thread!!

Yes, today is day 5 on the sunbed at 5.45 tonight, no visible side effects at present, although my one a day download has changed due to the need to have a second one two hours before treatment.

I am at Christies at Oldham, an outstation of the Christie at Manchester, it's about 6/7 years old so everything is brand new and spotless! The staff are great too. I understand they do have a bell to signal the end of your treatment - I honestly don't know if I would ring it or not!!

Kind Regards To All - Brian.

Personally I think it gives you closure on that stage of your treatment. Just give it some Welly and walk away. You'll probably get a round of applause from those around you at the time. It's all part of moving forward.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.

  • Brian, as Seamus said, "It gives closure"

Personally I think it gives you closure on that stage of your treatment.

I did feel a bit embarrassed ringing the bell, but I was looking forward to it all the way the way through the treatment.  I thought nobody would clap.  How wrong I was.

You must do it!  If not for yourself, for all of us.
