This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic. It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.
It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.
I could have named it 'Waffle'. Then I couldn't go off topic.
That's what kid's think of us now, several year's age we took our grandson to Beamish, doing a walk round a house he said look at the funny oven people used in the old day's, when I told him that's the oven my mam had when I was his age, wow grandad you really are old living in history.
Over the weekend we visited a museum in Basingstoke called Milestones - it's a living history museum. At the counter going in I bought my granddaughter a "ration card" so she could buy sweets from the old fashioned sweet shop.
She was amazed at the choice of sweets and how they were weighed out on some old balance scales to get the correct weight.
She was NOT impressed that a week's sweets during rationing was 2oz!! .
Oh - the good old days.
