This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Well done that made me laugh

  • That is Steve McLaren to a tee. He was in our carriage coming back from London. He certainly was up his own a..e. Steve Gibson is a decent bloke. I once had a long chat with Gareth Southgate on a train to London before he was England manager. No side to Gareth, down to earth.

The thing I like about Carrick is he keeps a level head not like some of those in the Premiership with their historonics. Carrick was well schooled at Wallsend Boys club.

  • I was brought up in Wallsend.

  • We have so many players out injured (or suspended for gambling).

The big downside with getting into Europe again, we still don't have a big enough squad.

We still have a long way to go.  Just so unlucky with injuries.

Love your comments on some of the players.

  • Wallsend, sorry to hear that my friend

  • Wallsend was ok when I was young, but then again what did I know!

  • They probably hadn't put a brick in the wall at that time. Besides where i grew up was knocked down in the early 60s slum clearance. And some of my ancestors on mam's side are Wallsend and Tynemouth

  • Hi Steve just checked up ancerster live at balist hills Wallsend, it's not there now.

  • Hello Gina

Just a quick one - us blokes have been busy talking football and all that other nonsense men talk about - I know ice cream and do-nuts are far more important.

I know you will be up to your neck in Christmas stuff but it's been a couple of weeks and I thought of you and Richard earlier and wondered how you both are getting on? (I do hope everything is OK).

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Brian, do-nuts and ice cream are nice, they would knock my diabetes out of sync, so the girl's are welcome to them, I'll stick to football,InnocentThumbsup
