This is for anyone who can't keep on the topic.  It's hard not to stray, but if we have 'no specific topic ' we can't go off topic.

It is good just to be able to wander and talk about other things.

I could have named it 'Waffle'.  Then I couldn't go off topic.

  • Hi WW Just a thought, if it would help, ask your hubby if he wants a one to one chat with me - I don't bite - and it might help.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • That is such a lovely reply and thank you for your offer. I have passed it on and he’s thinking about it.!

  • Good Afternoon Steve - Well it's Sunday - I still work Monday-Friday but Saturday and Sunday I do Football - I am  a supporter and go home and away. I also like to give my two dogs a good walk with one of my daughters.

Saturday came - football off - frozen pitch - decent - normal 4 mile walk with the dogs - got back - totally knackered. Spent the rest of the day relaxing. This morning, I usually get up between 6 and 6.30 - 8.45 and I woke up thinking my god it's light!!!! Done another 4 miler this morning (or what was left of it), and I am back in the chair relaxing.

I hold my hand up - RT has got me - mentally though I feel good as the treatment is curative and the positives are bigger than the knackerdness (please tell spell check this is a word).

Further updates next week during days 12 - 16.

    Brian.

  • Thanks for the update, Brian. Just read it out to my husband. You finish as he starts!  Good to hear you remain so very good mentally! Good luck with 12-16!  The end of the RT is within sight! I do appreciate your updates and feel as if we’re going along the journey with you!

  • Afternoon WW - No problem - I want to help anyone I can who has this condition - I feel it helps me too to share my journey as we are all different. I have also noticed I am more frequent in the toilet for both number 1's and 2's and I understand this is also a side effect. I knew I am more susceptible to the need to wee as I had a TURP in early November - but the second I turn a tap on - I am off...But yes.... this thing isn't going to get the better of me. I do know that at the end on my HT I will still be on the hormones for 2 years but I have the side effects for that sorted.

Good luck to your other half - I am pleased he's going for it.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • Who do you support a league or none league club

  • Many Many moons ago my team was one of the founder members of the Premier league, now we are in the National league - the first team to drop that far. Oldham Athletic!! The only advantage is as we have dropped we have visited almost every league ground in the country and I only need 7 to complete my full set of the 92,

Next Saturday we are away to Aldershot Town - I have decided not to go - sadly it would be a trip to most motorway services on the M6, M6Toll, M42, M40 and M25 - and the same on the way back!!

    Cheers Brian.

  • I can understand that I don't go any more as I'd miss half the game going to the loo, just watch it on telly, I support Sunderland, they have just given the Smoggys a football lesson.

  • It's only Middlesborough - young upstarts!! Yes - I find I need the half time break and not for a pint - I did enjoy the 10 months I had the catheter - it kept my legs warm and as my friends said - It's OK for you you just open your tap every 3 hours!!!
