Oh goodness poor you and what a sorry state the business is in.  You seriously need to take care. Just because you are in remission, it will take some time I am sure to regain your health fully. Good of you to volunteer, but don't do it at the cost of your health.

Glad your ears are being unbunged! It is horrible when you can't hear properly. I was scuba diving a few years back and to trauma to my ear and was quite deaf for about 4 months.  It is horrid cos you can't always hear when people call you names Grinning.

  • You two are hysterical.  I had weights but they obvs couldn't get it right. One minute I was at the bottom and the next looking down at the instructor and my daughter, quite embarrassing. Yes, the fish were amazing and we saw a huge Wrath, the size of a settee. Scary at first but we were assured they were non aggressive.

Richard and I went to Hurghada for a few days relaxation after doing the Nile Cruise. We were a little "templed out" and just needed to chill, after all the information we were given about the temples and the gods.

I feel very sad now having dreaded the news that our Queen has died. She was born the same year as my mum, and they did look very similar. Brought back memories of losing my wonderful mum four years ago and has left me very tearful.

  • It's a real shame about the Queen, if she could have lived another 4 years to 100.

I remember taking time off school in the early 70's to see the Queen launch Tankers and Ships in Wallsend.

Will Charles keep the crown or give it up to William?  I know that's all he knew from being a child, he'd be the next king.

It sounds strange saying King instead of Queen.  It's all we have known isn't it?

Sorry to hear about your Mum.

  • Gina, is that Morecambe and Wise hysterical or the Two Ronnie's hysterical?  Or even Del and Rodney?

This big Wrath you saw, did it have any young with it!

If it had 2, they could have been a settee and 2 chairs.

I remember in Cuba, swimming with a wild Dolphin, it felt weird.  When I first saw the fins I thought "Shark" (or something else beginning with Sh).

I could hear it talking underwater, an amazing experience.

  • Steve, think more Morecambe and Wise!!

No it didn't have young, that would have been a three piece suite!

We watched our girls paddling in the sea in Florida and then I saw fins in the distance.  I totally panicked till someone pointed out they were just dolphins - phew!!

When do you get the rest of the candle removed from your ear?

    Gina

  • Hi Gina,

"Tonight's the Night", well 7pm, hopefully she can get it out.  The Wax that is!!!

It's so good just to be able to hear again.

Have you watched any of the Queen programmes on the TV?  Watched one on Friday night, it was riveting, all this unseen footage and private cine films from when she was young.

A song for tomorrow for me, "Candle in the Wind" .

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • Save the candle, blackout's this winter you might need it to keep warm

  • Good thinking Batman!!!

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • Enough of the Elton John, but at least you should be able to hear loud and clear.

I have watched so many of the Queen programmes but didn't see that one.  I tried to find it as would have liked to have seen that one.  Can you remember what it was called so I can find on catchup?

    Gina

  • Gina, the programme was called "A tribute to Her Majesty the Queen." BBC1 last Friday night at 20:00. 90 minutes, it was really interesting, there's a funny bit with Prince Charles and Princess Anne when they were little.

    Steve (SteveCam)

  • Thanks, I will check it out. It is the unseen bits I like to watch. Still makes me choke up when I see some photos which look so much like my mum.
