Yes, I was on Zytiga for 12 months after my PSA readings started to rise after various treatments, It is a form of hormone treatment and not chemo related.
It is a very expensive drug to prescribe and will not be given to you if it is not effective.
I don't remember having any unpleasant side effects from the drug but quite clearly, we all react differently. If your Consultant is recommending it, I would certainly give it a go.
My next option is further chemotherapy but I am stalling somewhat as I found it to be a challenging experience!
