Hi everyone,
My Oncologist wants me to start taking either Abiraterone or Enzalutamide to supplement the Decapeptyl I am currently taking.
It is my decision which one to take.
Has anyone else had to make this decision and how did it go?
Any pearls of wisdom greatly appreciated.
Take care all.

Hi Hector 61 , was advised to take them all at once.
Excellent news for you Dave. Been on Decapeptyl and Xtandi myself now for nearly six months. My latest PSA was undetectable at less than 0.03 from 46.7 All being well you should continue to see a further drop .
Take care and keep well
Colin
Quick update. PSA fallen again to 0.18. Still no significant side-effects. Very pleased so for.
Take care everyone
Cheers

Hello Dave
I just updated my profile so do have a look. I started on Abiraterone back in Sept and opted for this in place of Enzalutamide as I waws concerned at level of fatigue. Initially my PSA continued to increase until Prednisolone was substituted with Dexamethasone causing the PSA to decrease from the mid 50's to mid 30's and has remained stable there for some months. I tolerate Abi + Dexa very well, I would welcome my strength back but still walk some 35 miles or more each week which includes cross country hill walking. Do hope this helps. Spaceman.
