Furry animal pets are reckoned to help people with worries. I was on Bicalutamide for 30 days and perhaps it was due to my advanced  age sometimes felt as low as I have ever felt. My wife helped me through it but also my ageing Cat called Wussers who sleeps up to 22 hours a day  curling up on and in my bed am sure helped me through it and continues to do.  Perhaps she was a distraction from my worries but am sure it helped. Have any contributors felt pets have helped them through their travails ?.

  • Yes indeed. As you might have guessed from my profile picture we have a retired racing greyhound who is nearly 10. I found that needing to take the dog for a walk every day helped a lot with recovering quite quickly from the radiotherapy induced fatigue. He walks two or three miles every day in all weathers and it's great exercise.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.
