Hello everybody.

As previously discussed. My dad has prostate cancer gleason score 9. And also I  in left pelvis lymph node. He had a bone scan which was clear. He had a ct scan a few weeks back. He saw the radiatioDisappointed relievedconsultant today and advised him that small spot shows up on vertebrae and thigh. He said they honestly didnt know what it was as it was very small but felt obliged to let him know. He is due to havDisappointed relieveda ct again on the 10th of sept. How come the bone scan didnt show this up. Is it because it too small. Very worried now that it may be in the bones Disappointed relieved

  • Hi Kg

I think that bones scans don't always show very small lesions but that doesn't mean that what is showing on the CT is cancer spread.

I think that a PET/CT scan can show more detail but not all centres do them. It could be worth asking at some stage
