Overnight toilet visits down to zero

I started 50g Bicalutamide HT 7 weeks ago, then 150g Bicalutamide 3 weeks ago and my overnight toilet visits have reduced from 3 or 4 to 1 and some nights zero. Whilst this is very welcomed and hopefully a sign the medication is working am I being premature before I receive my Triptorelin HT injection accompanied by targeted Derolutamide HT pills tomorrow, I,e should I expect things to get worse again. I’d ask my oncologist but after the MDT meeting they are like royalty and you never see them.

  • Hi  , it doesn’t sound like a coincidence so I assume the meds.  Take all the positives you can get!

    Best wishes, David

Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.

  • Hi Sads

I have found that nightly excursions vary - and I wasn't up last night....

I am on Zoladex and Darolutamide (having started on Bicalutamide for a few weeks before the Zoladex to manage the spike).

I do try and manage fluid intake before bedtime - to allow an emptying of the tanks...but manage to get the 2 litres of water a day plus other drinks so I am well hydrated and my body does deal with it overnight, so I do get up a couple of times normally...

I haven't made any correlations to meds/toilet habits - but perhaps I haven't paid any attention to it...

Best thing that we did was put one of those nightlight plugs on the landing - saves all of the stumbling about in the dark!

    All the best
