Hi everyone, husband had a blood test on Tuesday prior to a meeting with Oncologist next week to look at a prescription to add Abiraterone to his current ADT.
PSA at diagnosis in January was 25, four weeks later 26.7. Hadn’t been tested again since then (approx 12 weeks so may have risen again in that time).
Started three weeks of bicalutamide on April 20th and had first Prostap injection on April 27th, so just over three weeks ago.
PSA level from Tuesdays test was 8.4, and testosterone is currently 0.6. Are we correct in thinking this is a positive reduction in three weeks? It would be good to know others experiences.
Hello Porthleven
A very positive reduction in 3 weeks,. The HT is working. It's also sorted out his testosterone quickly too. All good signs that the treatment is working to plan.
Best wishes - Brian.
