Hello friend s
Have my second injection next week Thursday but we have booked a break From Sunday after to Wednesday do you think I should go .
Hello shahramahroyan . I have 3-monthly Zoladex injections and by the time I’m out of the nurse’s clinic I feel fine. We then drive 10 miles to my son’s house, have a brew, walk to the grandchildren’s school, collect them and walk them home. Which is a long way of saying, as long as you’re not missing an injection, you should be absolutely fine to go away. Enjoy!
Exceptions to flying are the domain of the Doctors not us travellers. If there’s a problem it’s very unlikely to be Zoladex. Your heart or treatments like chemo of radiotherapy would be a problem.
Good luck
I think so. I have been on 4 hour flights after an injection without any issues. You have a few days for any strong reactions to show up. They seem to be rare though. Probably best to confirm with the medics when you have the injection next Thursday though…
The advice I received about flying was so long as the injection causes no immediate problems (infection or bruising) go for it. Even if there were problems that in itself would not make flying dangerous, but you don't want to start you holiday with an incipient infection.
What he did give me, which struck me as a good idea, was a short letter stating that I was suffering from PC and on hormone therapy. He sad to carry with me in case I stepped out in front of a Spanish bus.
It did occur to me that I would have been just as well covered carry my list of prescriptions, but I am not one to turn a free piece of paper away.
Enjoy your break.
Steve
Changed, but not diminished.
Hello shahramahroyan, I was on Prostap three monthly (not Zoladex) for thirteen months but quite honestly never gave it a thought. Out of the GP surgery and on with life with no side effects what so ever. Just made sure that I was available for the next injection.
