I think you're right to look at this as positive, if your PSA drops like that with no medical intervention it could indicate a temporary issue, such as a inflammation or infection, has resolved itself.

It will be interesting to hear what your consultant has to say. Let us know if you can.

A couple of things here.

If you have been told that it's cancer then presumably u had a biopsy and also a MRI.

What was the Gleeson score  and what did the MRI say.

Hi Steve,

I had an MRI scan nothing showing, I was given the option of biopsy or just to keep an eye on my PSA levels. I chose the biopsy as I wanted to be sure either way.

My biopsy showed I had cancer, none on the right side of 12 taken and 1 showed cancer of 13 taken from the left side .

Gleason 3+3 and T 1

Ok Jay, so all looks ok really, low figures.

they saying it's cancer with a Gleeson 3+3 but surprising that PSA going down ., quite a lot really.

Just keep your eye on things , with a confirmed cancer u need to carry on with PSA testing and also another MRI at some stage, not sure when u had the MRI done.

Anyway looks like nothing much to be concerned about at this stage.
