Hello BMAC09d644
With your diagnosis and details I would just check that they intend to give radiotherapy to both the prostate and the affected pelvic lymph nodes (or the complete pelvis). They usually ask for an up to date PSA test too to check the Hormone Therapy is working.
As we all wish to ask different things - here's a list to help you:
I hope this helps. We do have another thread you might like to read here:
What you wish you had known before starting Radiotherapy?
Happy to answer any questions.
Best wishes - Brian.

Update: oncologist has prescribed daily Abiraterone to start in 2 weeks along with Prednisalone ahead of 7 weeks of RT to start sometime in March along with 3 monthly Goserelin injections. Could be on HT and Abiraterone for 3 years - not quite what I was expecting but if it keeps me on a curative path that’s ok. Dr appeared enthusiastic about Abiraterone but appreciate any thoughts about all of this.
Hi BMAC,
Very similar case to yours, here, except that I'm 70 and a few weeks ahead of you. I have just updated my profile with 'the story so far' Please take a look by clicking on my 'name' I hope this holds some useful pointers and will be of some help to you. Good luck!
David
Key words: Orgovyx PEARLS Abiraterone
PS Just seen your update on AbiPred - Well done to your Oncy!
Thanks David, all the best - appreciate your response.
Hello BMAC09d644
Thank you for the update - it sounds like a plan, lets hope you dodge most of the HT side effects, although fatigue looks set to get most people.
Just an aside if you aren't diabetic HT can increase your blood sugars so diet is important and as Ht can also weaken your bone structure a prescription for Calcium and Vitamin D tablets wouldn't go amiss.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello David (DavidEBe8c214)
I have just read your profile - as you say a few weeks ahead of BMAC but reading your profile tells me you know just where you are with your treatment. I wish you well moving forward.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello BMAC09d644 It looks like you have a similar diagnosis and treatment plan as myself, except you are T3b and I was T3a with spread to lymph nodes. I had full pelvic radiotherapy (the 20 fraction option) after 6 months of hormone therapy (Zoladex) and I’m now a year ahead of you. The Zoladex jabs will continue for another 2 years. PSA is currently ‘undetectable’. If you would like to read it, my profile is a bit long but explains a lot more.
