I have just managed well after two sessions of Chemotherapy on Lymphoma over a period of just under ten years. However on the side I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer with the Prostate progressing from about 5 to 35 from about 2022 to to date. I have been advised - a). Take no action as the progress is slow. b). Go for Radiotherapy. Im just under 83 years of age with other issues as back pain, waistline pain wearing of bones and spine, hearing issue, vision issue. Can anyone give me his best advise!
Hi Yogesh I don’t think we know enough about your diagnosis and am unclear how a recommendation of RT has been made. Have you had an MRI scan recently perhaps?
Anyway as to advice, it is all very individual. I am only 76 but at 83 I wouldn’t have chemo but RT and HT (hormone therapy) would probably not be too much of a problem. PCa is very slow growing so you might be lucky and not have any problem with it if you did nothing (but personally I would want to know more about my current diagnosis). Please come back if we can help further.
Best wishes, David
