Good afternoon all, finally got a copy of my MRI Prostate Results which started the ball rolling towards my prostate cancer diagnosis. It’s a bit gobbledgook to me in certain areas so one of your kind people might be well versed in giving a summary of how it reads in terms of my confirmed diagnosis ! Thanks
!

Hi Dave.
Ok, please bear in mind I am no expert but will give it a go and keep it simple.
By the way can't see a Gleeson anywhere.
Anyway doesn't look too bad , seminal vesicles and nodes look ok which is a big relief
So it looks like tumour is near or just broken through (maybe) the gland edge, if the case then hopefully U can start on HT soon to stop it in its tracks.
Please remember I may not be correct , perhaps someone will say something who knows more.
Best wishes
Steve
Had the initial biopsy Steve and it revealed a Gleason 6 score but consultant was convinced that the MRI was worse than a Gleason 6 so going in on January 12 for another biopsy to get the full picture as he said. Only 1 sample from the initial biopsy contained cancer and they took 4 samples from the 2.6cm tumour !!
That all sounds a bit odd.
Why could it not be Gleeson 6.
Mine was Gleeson 6 but on Active surveillance so can grow obviously.
Very strange that they only took 4 samples.
By the way just wanted to say that it's not clear that broken through the gland edge even they're not sure by the looks of it.
Anyway fingers crossed for the biopsy .
Best wishes
Steve
