Haven`t posted for a while as I`m now on 6 monthly PSA checks along with HT which continues until Jan 2027! I became a member of this special Club - which nobody wants to join - in January 2024 and can empathise with everyone as we face a similar challenges and hopefully with curative outcomes. Click on My Profile and Activity for a full description of my journey so far and you will see I am a member of the Gleason 9 Club but with a curative pathway.
So my good news is that my PSA is now down from 0.12 ug/l in March 2025 to 0.07 which is down to the RT and continued HT Prostap Jabs. Fatigue is my biggest challenge but the advice is clear - it gets easier if you can work through it, stay fit through exercise (even walking) and look after yourself and try and have a laugh too. I`m off to the Canaries soon as this is what we do twice a year after the PSAs come in but I always leave the Prostap until I return if the timing allows as the fatigue get`s easier towards the next jab.
So I just wanted to share some positivity with you wonderful people and I remain eternally grateful to my Oncology Team at Peterborough City Hospital and the inspirational input of the Community Champions one and all - but particularly Mr Brian Millibob and that Alpine Wanderer bloke who helped me so much in the early days and continue to do so through this Forum.
My Wife, My Rock is very happy too and we all know this is a couple`s challenge and where would we be without their ongoing support and courage to help us on our journey. Onwards and upwards and best wishes to you all - keep on fighting it and we`ve got this!!
Cheers Geoff (Geoff S)
It's great to get good news and the fact you are doing so well is brilliant and sends a message to others that even with a Gleason 9 score - life goes on and can be lived to the full.
Enjoy your holiday and long may the low PSA continue.
Thanks for the cracking post.
Best wishes - Brian.

Great news! We, too, are off to the Canaries - next month! I hope you have a good holiday!
that Alpine Wanderer bloke
Well, here’s that “Alpine Wanderer bloke” (love it!!) wishing you another great holiday in the Canaries. Mrs AW and I lead hiking tours there (usually in the February & March time of year). You never know… we might bump into each other on the island…. JPMJIG certainly did (along with Mrs JPMJIG ) where we enjoyed a good old catch up! AW
