Hi
I just had my planning session last week and was surprised that they now in our area needed bladder empty for the scan.I was wondering why the change.I will ask when my first RT starts.
Hello BP55
I had my Radiotherapy in January/February 2023 at Christies in Oldham - they were empty bladder - empty bowel then.
I did ask why they were different and they said a full bladder lifts it away from the prostate - an empty one gives them a clearer view of the prostate.
I clearly remember before each fraction being asked "have you been?"
Best wishes - Brian.
