Hi everyone
little update on my brother
he’s feeling good except for hot flushes he has appointment on 7th October with his oncologist his PSA has gone down to 0.2 which I mentioned in my last post
tonight he headed of to Turkey for a well deserved holiday so I’m made up for him .
im just a bit panicked as to why the oncologist wants to see him if everything’s going ok . He had a scan after his chemo finished in July still hasn’t heard results from that am I right in thinking if it wasn’t good results thry wouldn’t leave him waiting till October
my brother is more possitive he’s saying the oncologist probally just wants to talk to him about how ithe treatment is working etc but I can’t stop worrying
sorry if I’m again asking silly questions any help would be appreciated
thank you
BG
I have spoken to my Oncologist or one of her team twice since the end of my RT.
Both were telephone exchanges.
Both were quick and easy because treatment is going to according to plan.
I know that others have more face to face appointments than I do, with no more apparent reason. It had occurred to me to wonder whether this is something to do work the level of support the medical team thinks they have.
My oncologist had met all my family - my daughters attended when my wife was having an operation - and know that they are almost aggressively supportive.
I have a vision of someone saying "keep that lot out of my clinic".

Changed, but not diminished.
Thank you Steve
i think I’m just thinking the worst
when in reality everything is going ok PSA low etc he feels fantastic like I said he’s travelled to turkey last night so he’s not worried . He said weather lovely and flight was ok except pain in legs etc but other than that he’s gonna have a ball he said so he’s being possitive like he said obvs the oncologist is going to want to see how he’s doing from time to time . It’s just me over thinking it
you take care and thank you
BG
I've had one face to face appointment after my RT treatment finished start of May, The next one is a phone appointment in early November, because its quite a distance to travel for a 10 minute appointment. The face to face one was just to say how pleased they are with the successful treatments outcome. Bringing my PSA down from 21 to 0.01. so don't worry to much, last thing you need is making yourself unwell.
