he has been booked in for a bone scan next week. I feel a bit confused, the initial relief of the Gleason 6 but the T3a means it’s locally advanced. We have been given leaflets on different treatments, but I really don’t know.
what’s everyone’s thoughts on this.
Hi WW
Sorry to hear but T3a means just escaped the gland, in theory is no where else although I know they're doing a bone scan just in case but unlikely with that lowish PSA .
Good that a low Gleeson so slow growing,.
Probably best treatment RT and HT hopefully they can start the HT soon to stop any further spread although Gleeson 6 perhaps means not so urgent.
Just my opinion for the treatment doesn't mean it's right but see what others say
Best wishes
Steve
Hello worried wife 78
Yes, a strange one - Gleason 6 but T3a.
Personal opinion he's possibly good for HT/RT or Brachytherapy. Surgery might also be on the cards.
It may be a Gleason 6 but it's thinking of going "walkabout" and I would be pushing for treatment as you are well past the 62 days to start treatment on the Cancer Pathway.
Best wishes - Brian.
