Good Morning. I had radical prostatectomy in March 24,. Initial signs were good with <0.03 in May. Steady rise to 0.07 since then. Referral to oncologist resulted in his recommendation to commence salvage radiotherapy with 6 months ADT. Gleeson 4,/3 Epe, negative margins. There seem to be different views on timing of treatment in biochemical recurrence, one favours early intervention the other seems to lean towards waiting till 0.2 . I know the great champions on here are Radiotherapy men but I know the community will have something to say. Hi to my friend A, Is private messaging currently available? . Thank you and best wishes to you all in your different battles with this ba..ard. Hallo to the great Millibob also.
Hi Sight. I have been wondering how you’ve been getting on. The lack of messaging system has prevented contact which I’m sure is adversely affecting many in the ‘club’. I hope it is fixed soon.
i can see that you are faced with a tricky decision and in your place, I’m trying to think what I would do. I think, like you, I’d wait for some feedback from the guys on here.
i wish you the very best going forward and hope the PM system returns soon.
I also miss the private messaging because I want to ask about somebody who posted a lot of very useful information here but has ‘gone quiet’. I’m wondering if she is ok?
Hi SFSE
A difficult one, must admit.
If it was me I think I would wait a bit longer for a another couple of PSAs to say that it's Def increasing.so far only showing .03 to .07.
But prob not wait until .2 cos if Def upward trend better to get it treated.
Just my opinion, see what others say
Best wishes
Steve
Good Morning Sight for sore eyes
Well you know me - it's going up - the sooner you start the RT/HT the sooner it's sorted. It's not going to start going down again is it? - My view right or wrong is that the earlier you start treatment the better you are - also you are younger so your chances of recovery are better.
I hope this helps your thoughts - but I am all for early intervention.
Best wishes - Brian.

Good Morning Worriedwife
I have chased up the issue of Private Messaging today and will post an answer as soon as I get it - I am on holiday (again) in Scotland so it should be later today.
I want to ask about somebody who posted a lot of very useful information here but has ‘gone quiet’. I’m wondering if she is ok?
Do I assume this is Linda (Alwayshope) ?
I can confirm she is fine. Sadly Peter her husband passed away on Saturday. He fought hard for the last 5 years and lived life to the full right up to last Friday. The end was all very quick and he didn't suffer. His last words to Linda were "I love you". He has been cremated today in Greece.
I am so sorry to bring this news - it hit me quite hard when I found out the other day.
Kind Regards - Brian x
