Hi eberyone
haven’t been here for a while but just little update on my brother . As you know he’s on the triple therapy and today had his 3rd chemo . Alls well except mouth ulcers and really bad fatigue which is to be expected . They have given him a mouthwash now to hopefully ease the ulcers which he gets about 2 weeks after the infusion . He was told today that is PSA is 0.7 so he is over the moon as his starting if PSA
on this journey was 50.9 so we are so pleased . He’s tolerating this triple therapy really well he’s still training he’s still under his beloved motorbikes still buying cars doing them up so I’m so proud of him as he’s just facing it head on with such positivity now where at the start very negative which is understandable. Hope everyone is ok and I think about you all on this journey always and I know I always say this but thank you all for getting me through this

Hello Bg65
Thank you for the update - it's great to know how you brother is doing and a PSA reduction from 50.9 to 0.7 is amazing. The fact he's still training and tinkering shows he's doing great.
Let's hope the mouthwash works and he keeps on with the great work.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hello Bg65,
I had this treatment last year, similar problems but pleased to say they are mostly temporary and he should recover well. I had the same mouth problems and the mouthwash worked well when I started using it just after each infusion before my mouth became sore.
It's great to hear his PSA is dropping well and he's getting on with enjoying normal activities - that's really important.
I hope he continues to cope as well throughout the remainder of his treatment.
Give him my best wishes and regards,
Derek.
Thank you Brian it’s just possitive news he needed he said at the beginning he felt hopeless thought there was no hope and as time has gone on he’s become more possitive about how the treatment is so good for prostate cancer . You and others did say to me that once he’s on treatment plan things get easier and that’s exactly how he feels .
once again thank you and I hope your doing ok Brian

Hi Derek
THank you for taking the time to reply
I do agree it is important to carry on doing activities that you enjoy he’s come to realise that his life doesn’t stop just because he’s got prostate cancer at first he struggled with the diagnosis but beginning to enjoy living .
once again thank you
take care
