Hi ,
In preparing for my radiation I have 6months hormone therapy. I have done about a month and a half . I do not seem to be getting the major side effects of the treatment. Is this in anyone else's experience? Will I get more side effects as I go further in.
I do lots of exercise each day - weights and 15k indoor cycle.
I have noticed I get a clammy forehead sometimes and not producing semen but that's about it .
I ask on the same pattern of treatment as you, but a bit further in.
My wife effects from the HT do vary.
I have loss of libido and erectile dysfunction, coupled with varying hot sweats.
There is also what I can only describe as shrinkage.
I am on Zoladex 3 monthly injections.
My treatment started with a month of biculatamide. Half way through that I had a one month injection of Zoladex.
It wasn't until a couple of weeks after the first 3 months injection that I noticed anything other than lack of libido, but by then the effects described above really took hold.
To say against that, some men get them all, and some get none.
You may be one of the lucky ones.
Steve
Changed, but not diminished.
Hi Darksal welcome to the place so many of us find ourselves.
I began the hormone therapy journey back in September 2023 and have had an almost identical experience to Steve (mstev2 ) You can read a diary of my journey by clicking on my avatar and reading my profile.
I'm now almost nine months post RT and three months beyond the end of HT. Sadly, up to now I still have all of the side effects.
There are those who report much less side effects, if you are lucky you will be one of those folks.
I wish you all the very best with your RT, please keep in contact with the forum and let us know your experiences and progress.

I feel quite similar to you . I wish I could do more exercise though. I try to do as much as I can in terms of exercise walking. Are you in the London area?
Also , timing , i've been taking the hormone treatment for about 2 months. A month it's tablets and near a month of the injection. Which lasts six month. I should start my life.i should start my 6 months. Probably less actual because they are saying rand about july the beginning of. Just need to get it a bit more on my exercise. I eat very well.I don't eat any me dairy products. Organic chicken or fish once a week for me. . But i'm well informed with my diet. Because i've been eating like that for the past ten years or so. I see food as medicine. So ia On top of that. But I need to exercise more which i'm struggling with. I was wondering if anybody or yourself would like to team with that. I would help as much as I can the knowledge I know regarding food . Because I believe that is equally important for this healing.Journey we are all on

Ps i haven't got a partner so I cannot measure libido
But I do feel like I could get intimate. Slow.
using a meditation technique. Not sure if that's going to change , but at the moment it feels good down sometimes it feels flat , but sometimes it feels strong as you like. But as I said or should say , we are all different as human beings. And what's good for you may not be good for me. But I must add , we are all the same at the same time. I would love to hear anybody else's experience
No, never been offered it. Despite the time that I have been on HT (and now ended) is it worth pressing the medics for it do you think?
Hi guys I'm on tadalafil 5m daily but not noticed any difference sadly
