So as most of you are aware I started my journey over 3 years ago with an initial PSA of 182. My initial diagnosis from my MRI and Biopsy was HT for life with a touch of 20 fractions on "the Sunbed" and a TURP Operation for good measure.
With an inconclusive MRI (possible lymph node involvement on my pelvis) Oncology reduced my sentence to 3 years HT and "zapped" my pelvic lymph nodes for good measure. In the last 3 years the lowest PSA reading I have achieved is 0.29. Full journey notes are on my profile.
My first PSA test after 3 years HT yesterday shows an increased PSA of 1.63 and we don't need a testosterone test to know that's coming back . So I am now on 3 monthly PSA tests - next one on or about 19 May 2025 (our 46th wedding anniversary!). It's now a case of watch this space.
I have always been aware of this situation so the increased PSA is no surprise - as Doris Day said "que sera sera".
Anyway, that's enough about me - thanks to every one of you who contributes to the Community - your ongoing support for fellow Community members is amazing - let's keep it that way, your peer to peer support is what keeps us all going.

Thanks for letting us know Brian and for your "championing" of the forum. I hope the next test hasn't risen again.
Have a great "Petroleum" (or Gasoline) anniversary with pearls and daffodils galore.
Hi Brian,
I'm sorry to hear that your PSA level has gone up, but hope that in three months time it will have stabilized or gone down again.
Thank you for all the work you do as a community champion and for your constant shepherding of the flock that you have here.
Keep well, and keep going my friend.
Steve
Changed, but not diminished.
Hello Brian, as you know, my husband came off HT in May last year, just before you. We were told to expect a bounce and it happened. He too has to have a 3 month PSA test - next week as it happens. I
his was not quite as high as you but his PSA fell lower than yours during treatment. Like yourself he is saying what will be, will be. I am more anxious! But, my husband is also saying that he’s glad that the hospital is on the alert! I think you might agree?
I have a friend whose husband is 2-3 years ahead. His PSA also bounced after ceasing HT but then fell back. Let’s hope you two do the same!!!
I really hope all goes ok for you - if anyone deserves that magical word ‘cure’ you sure do!
hugs to you and Lorraine
Hello Everyone
Just off to bed but I thought I would pop back and say thank you for all of your kind comments.
I have been kind of expecting a rise in my PSA and to be honest expecting another in 3 months time. I don't know of anyone with an initial PSA like mine getting off with just 3 years HT and a trip to the sunbed.
Since the start of my journey and my close encounter with my maker I have learned that life is for living and worry isn't in my system anymore - Lorraine's had a bit of a tearful day but we are all back on track and life is good - off to Turkey on 11 March so all is well.
Thanks again everyone.
Kindest Regards - Brian.

Can I just add my best wishes for the time ahead, Brian? May it have a positive conclusion ultimately of 'nothing to see here' and I wish you and your wife peace of mind as you wait, along with thanks for everything you do on this forum for us all.
