Apologies to everyone who is going through the mill at the moment

I know what that is like but though it would be nice to post some good news for a change

Just had the result of my last PSA test since they started me on Olabarib and Abiraterone

After finishing chemo and still having a 3 monthly Triprorelin injection my PSA was doubling every 3 months

It got to 1.87 in October before they started me on the extra tablets.  Still a long way from 383 when I was diagnosed but going the wrong way

The latest result is 0.06 so I'm very happy

I'd jump for joy except with the three lots of fatigue from the different treatments and a touch of anaemia I'm too knackered.

I can manage a small grin though ;-)

  • Hello

That's a great post and cracking news regarding your own journey. I would encourage anyone with good news to post it as it gives encouragement to others.

It's not just Community members who read these posts, last year the entire Community had over 10 million pages views where folk came along read our posts, took the information they needed and moved on - so we must be doing something right - well done everyone ClapClap.

I'd jump for joy except with the three lots of fatigue from the different treatments and a touch of anaemia I'm too knackered.

Please don't overdo it - you are doing great as it is!! Rofl - Great post though, thanks.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Slartibartfast Fantastic news! I’m like you, responding really well to treatment but get like the other bunny in the Duracell advert every so often. Sorry to out-trump you but my last 2 PSA’s were 0.16 and then 0.02 so. I’m also a satisfied customer! Blush

    best

  • After everything I've been dealing with regarding the side effects it's nice to get some good news.

    I wasn't aware it was a competition - it is now ;-)

  • This seems like a big step change after what you have been through so celebrations all round and long may it continue.

    All the best  .

  • Hi

amazing news . Yes fatigue is awful . My OH has completed his 6 large dozes of RT and he crashed yesterday after his RT . He injured his leg and fortunately is a torn calf muscle but he’s 10 weeks recovery so no 10 miles walk a day at the minute  . So a mixture of everything . we see the oncologist on Thursday so will see what he’s saying and says

it’s good to see really positive posts

    take care

    Liz & OH xx

  • Latest result is 0.04 so I'm catching you ;-)

  •   , just read your original post.  A big WOO-HOO from me (I love a good Homer Simpson moment).
