Good morning. Wonder if anyone can help.
I completed my radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer ( 3+4 ) some 6 months ago - all seemingly good so far. I have been on HT ( 3 monthly Decapeptyl injections ) for 15 months - 9 months to go.
I have been suffering from what I would describe as a cross between numbness and pins & needles for the last few weeks - predominantly in my left foot ( travels up to my knee ) but also in my left hand ( travels up to my elbow ).
I believe that Decapeptyl can cause such side effects although I have suffered from this ( to a lesser extent ) previously ( pre HT ).
Has anyone suffered similar symptoms & can you offer me any advice ( I propose to discuss with my GP & my Oncologist when I next see him ).
Any help gratefully received.
Hello NoahsArk
Sorry for the delay in my reply - I agree it's a side effect of Hormone Therapy - however as you say i think it's a case for either your cancer team or the G P.
Let us know how you get on please.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi
Have to ask, have you had chemo ? I have had two doses one eight years ago the other six months ago, on both occasions I suffered from pins and needles, chemo can cause nerve damage, which I think has happened on my last session.
I would definitely inform the oncologist, not sure what they will do.
Stay Safe
