Hi my name is Peter
I was having treatment for an overactive bladder with prostate blood test as part of treatment which came back at 7.7. I then had an ultrasound, GP said I had enlarged prostate but nothing of concern. Has MRI scan as part of pathway which has revealed lesions on prostate rated 4 and 5. Having a biopsy, no noted signs of other lesions throughout body. Notes 66.9% chance of prostate cancer and really worried and having bad anxiety and not sleeping, I have the constant peeing which I thought was my over active bladder no pain peeing small leaking and sometimes stop and start to finish,I've pretty much resigned myself to having prostate cancer and finding very tough to deal with like everyone with the horrible disease, any helpful advice would be much appreciated
Kind regards
Peter
Hello Peter (Psb2024)
All I can suggest is to give the Urology Nurse a chance on Friday and see how easy/hard it's going to be and if you still feel you can't do it ask what alternatives there are.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi all
Hope your all doing ok, 7th radiotherapy treatment this morning all going well no side effects at the moment, it's more stressful travelling to the hospital in the mornings a hour and a half to do 11 miles a little landmark for this coming Monday will be half way ,have to say all the staff at the Royal Free are amazing. I definitely think I've made the right decision of treatment for me.
Regards
Peter
Peter, I realised at my planning session that I could drive myself (only a 30 minute journey) so my wife was able to stay at home. I had a big problem on my way home one day, the motorway blocked and no way off it and no cover to go for a pee! For the remaining 37 sessions I carried a 4 pint empty plastic milk container!
Best wishes, David
Please remember that I am not medically trained and the above are my personal views.

Hello Peter (Psb2024 )
Travel Insurance is much cheaper once you have completed your Radiotherapy.
We do have a dedicated travel insurance group and here's the link you need:
Travel insurance forum for cancer patients
I will "tag" my fellow Community Champion Derek (excavator) who is an expert in this field and will be along to offer some advice. (Derek is in the US of A on holiday at present but will reply).
I wish you will moving forward after you have completed your Radiotherapy and hope you enjoy your holiday. .
Best wishes - Brian.
