7 weeks after the initial histology update to Gleeson 9 I finally obtained the details - not good . G9  extra prostatic extension , base margin positive PT3bN1

I asked for the PSMA PET scan after the initial update but was told I had to wait until the 8 week post op PSA TEST I said it was obvious it would not be undetectable but to no avail .

I finally got a scan date of 16/10 but the scanner broke down and it’s now tomorrow (22/10) . Despite trying to stay positive, realistically , I am struggling to see how the scan will work out well with the current diagnosis .

Why I wasn’t given the PSMA PET scan after a non diagnostic MRI I will never know but intend to find out

keeping everything crossed Fingers crossed

best advice I can give - don’t get fobbed off , don’t take no for an answer and do your research.

best of luck to all who find  themselves on this forum
