Hi !
I just got my PSA result back from my 6 month measurement after radiation and ongoing hormone therapy and the result was < 0.1 again (in Sweden and Finland they don’t do ultrasensitive PSA).
So, wanted to share good news as I know we in this community is happy for good news
Best wishes - Ulf

Hi !
Thanks Brian and of course wonderful news
Well, I suppose that stress and to be anxious will always follow us in time for test if the beast is still there and I think you and all of us recognize this for the rest of our life.
Anyway, thanks my friend
Best wishes - Ulf
Wow! I’ve just read your bio again and there’s no wonder it is <0.1. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was <0.01 after your treatment regime. Basically, you threw everything in the oncologist’s armoury at it . After you decided to back up your internal HDR brachytherapy with the external radiotherapy and the systemic therapy, the cancer really didn’t stand a chance. I would expect very low PSA readings for many years to come!

Hi Alpine Wanderer !
Thanks for your wonderful words of confidence and all I can say is that its extremly relaxing to have the result and I’ve promised my family and close ones that I start to relax and enjoy the positive result (until the next 3-month test)
Anyway, thanks and it’s really extra nice to be able to share good news within this amazing community with all you amazing people
There is not only one road in fighting this cancer beast and hopefully I can provide people here in this community that there are always possibilities to try new steps.
Best wishes - Ulf
Hi mstev2 !
Thanks my friend and me and the family will enjoy and I will start to relax (but not bring my guard down)
I’m here supporting you in your fight if and when you need it as are all the other fantastic people in this forum.
One idea to take with you to your MO / medical team is to have a discussion with them about adding Abiraterone and Prednisolone to your treatment, perhaps in time for your radiation. Just a thought
I’m not saying it will be easier with side effect but there are many ongoing studies where locally advanced patients like us is on 3 year hormone therapy, 2 year Abiraterone and external so, could be something to check up my friend
Thanks again and all my best wishes - Ulf
