Well, that was quick. I chased the medical oncologist (Greek God) up this morning and he has had a pow wow with the radio oncologist, so I was told to speak to him as they both thought hubby was eligible for SBRT on the distant mets. Did this at lunchtime and was asked when we would like it done. Whenever we replied. Got a text at 17:30 to ask if we are available TOMORROW at 15:50 for the planning scan and can we take the PSMA PET scan disc. So all set for treatment starting next week. Having to sort out an apartment near the hospital for a couple of weeks as he predicts it will be 5 sessions on alternate week days.
When you go to Turkey you could flog your smalls to Turks running Gulet cruises.
Only if they pay my excess baggage charges. Mind you I get my "bloomers" from the local market in Fetyhiye £ 2.50 (120 lira) for 5 pairs. That's the price of a bottle of EFES!!
Best wishes - Brian.

Home now having completed 5 x4Gy radiotherapy which, according to the report, "the patient tolerated the treatment well'. He did not enjoy the face mask but apart from that it was fine. His pain levels have already dropped and should be much better after 11 days. In the meantime he should be able to reduce the Fentanyl patch and dispense with it in the next couple of weeks. We have to be careful for the next 4 months not to fall or put pressure on the bones - one way of getting out of digging the garden or clearing up the olive tree prunings. Repeat bloods next week and full body CT in 2 months to check that new bone is being laid down.
Wow - that post sounds very positive - I am so pleased for both of you.
There's nothing like being home when you are recovering - and with orders to be careful - that sounds like a day or two on the balcony being waited on!!
Take it easy the pair of you and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Kindest Regards - Brian xx

Changed, but not diminished.
Great to hear it's done and the pain has already decreased, long may it continue x
Morning AH,
Oh, brilliant that you are home now. It seems that he tolerated it much better this time. Amazing that the pain levels already dropped. I know you are looking after him so well but look after yourself too. You are not sweet 16 anymore, lacy bits or not!
Lots of love
