Well, that was quick. I chased the medical oncologist (Greek God) up this morning and he has had a pow wow with the radio oncologist, so I was told to speak to him as they both thought hubby was eligible for SBRT on the distant mets. Did this at lunchtime and was asked when we would like it done. Whenever we replied. Got a text at 17:30 to ask if we are available TOMORROW  at 15:50 for the planning scan and can we take the PSMA PET scan disc. So all set for treatment starting next week. Having to sort out an apartment near the hospital for a couple of weeks as he predicts it will be 5 sessions on alternate week days.

  • Eddie - I've been on these blasted Hormones for 27 months - I think like a woman, I have a pair of moobs, I have hot flushes and  I do my shopping at "Pretty little Thing" (other stores are available).

  • Us ladies have to stick together and need some reward for looking after our partners. I decided not to bring the car into Athens as it is a nightmare trying to park and am just letting hubby take it easy. Also we have done most of the museums and sights as we used to tag on a couple of days in Athens before we flew out on holiday.

  • HT is a pain though the emotional changes i love and though most of my closest friends are women, i'm still barely any closer to understanding them, but would you want to, i have just had some slightly disturbing thoughts as to what you might be shopping for, but if that's what you like to wear, I'm not going to judge.

    Eddie

  • Hubby says he needs some new underwear - I will keep an eye on which shops he chooses. He always has his manbag with him!!!!

  • I must confess to buying mine on the local market in Turkey as I can get 5 pairs for £ 2.50!!.

Mrs Millibob isn't too keen on my choice but in my old age I like something comfortable and not too tight around what remains of my manhood (too much information there!!).

She said the other day when she had washed a few pairs that our washing line looked like a "Galleon in Full Sail".!! Joy.

There you go Eddie - further details of my clothing style!!

  • When hubby was having his planning scan he was asked if he minded them lowering his underpants. His riposte was - it's ok as there is nothing left there anymore after almost 4 years on HT and resembles a bent little finger which elicited gales of laughter from the lady technicians.

He has chosen his pink sweatshirt and floral shirt for today's outfit.

  • Eddie, Brian, just when you think you know everything about women, they totally surprise you.

  • Alwayshope, hope your hubby starts feeling better soon.  It'll be all over soon and you'll be able to get back to some sort of normality.

I visited Athens about 20 years ago, loved it.  I know what you mean about not driving there.  It looked a bit manic.  The atmosphere was amazing.

I sometimes have a carrier bag in my pocket, not a manbag.  I know a few men who have them.
