Well, that was quick. I chased the medical oncologist (Greek God) up this morning and he has had a pow wow with the radio oncologist, so I was told to speak to him as they both thought hubby was eligible for SBRT on the distant mets. Did this at lunchtime and was asked when we would like it done. Whenever we replied. Got a text at 17:30 to ask if we are available TOMORROW at 15:50 for the planning scan and can we take the PSMA PET scan disc. So all set for treatment starting next week. Having to sort out an apartment near the hospital for a couple of weeks as he predicts it will be 5 sessions on alternate week days.
Just had the MRI results drop into my email box following completion of SBRT to the mets in the upper abdomen two months ago. All show slight to moderate reduction and no fluid in the abdominal space. No evidence of any additional mets. Will be seeing the GG next week for his verdict but good news as far as we are concerned. Hubby still feeling very well despite the heat today which got up to 40C in the shade.
Good news . We had 17c today in sunny Scotland but no doubt it will be raining tomorrow xx
Hi AH I am so happy for you both, good to hear the cancers been beaten down, lets hope it stays down and hubby's feeling well too, worth a little celebration.

My original update has got lost in the ether so for continuity I will repeat it. Results from the MRI, 2 months after completing SBRT to the mets in the upper abdomen and adrenal glands, have shown slight to moderate reduction and with no abdominal oedema. No new mets evident. Good progress in our opinion but will see what the oncologist says next week. Hubby is feeling very well despite the 40C heat in the shade.
Morning AH,
Looks like very good news the decrease and no new mets! Let us know what the GG opinion.
40C in the shade is awful, hopefully it will go back to normal. I was born in a very hot country so I know it is unbearable. Drink lots of water.
Lots of love
Dafna
Morning AH, the gremlins strike again, looks like treatment has been good for us both, and no distention either, happy days. Summers here at last but only low 20sC, you can keep your 40C, I guess it's another day in the pool for you both, enjoy.

Hi Dafna, I'm doing ok, loving the sunshine, lets hope it's here for a long time. no appointments for 3 weeks. other than hospice, so plenty of trips out before the school holidays begin, how are you feeling Daphna and how is Jacob doing, I can imagine Brighton's getting busy with tourists, so a quiet walk along the beach is unlikely, enjoy the sunshine.

Hi Eddie.
As long as they keep offering treatments and quality of life is good then all is positive. I was sorry to hear about your eldest daughter and hope she is doing well.
Thank you AH, It's complicated but she's doing ok.
