Well, that was quick. I chased the medical oncologist (Greek God) up this morning and he has had a pow wow with the radio oncologist, so I was told to speak to him as they both thought hubby was eligible for SBRT on the distant mets. Did this at lunchtime and was asked when we would like it done. Whenever we replied. Got a text at 17:30 to ask if we are available TOMORROW at 15:50 for the planning scan and can we take the PSMA PET scan disc. So all set for treatment starting next week. Having to sort out an apartment near the hospital for a couple of weeks as he predicts it will be 5 sessions on alternate week days.
Yes, but a different colour to the marker ones for the SBRT. Good job he only goes swimming in our own pool and doesn't bare his belly in public.
I am trying to find out as much as I can about SBRT (the nerd in me) and was surprised at how high the dose can get. I did ask how many Gy hubby would have. Eyes rolling upwards from the oncologist, with a twinkle in them, as he is used to my questions - 300. If that is the case then I won't need a torch to see hubby at night under the bedcovers.
Just think... When his stomach rumbles, it would be like the face talking to you!
Steve (SteveCam)
The problem is that when the stomach rumbles is erupts lower down. I had to restrain hubby from buying a computer mat yesterday during our comfort stop at the services which said 'That was not a F**t, that was my bottom giving you a kiss'.
What a great description!
I'll have to try that one.

You know the phrase "All systems go", was that from "Thunderbirds"???
Steve (SteveCam)
Ok Steve - I will stick my oar in now - in Thunderbirds what did F A B stand for??
(I will only accept the explanation Sylvia Anderson gave )

No. I am showing my age, along with someone else here. It is a throwback to the space race - I remember sitting up all night for the first moon landing. Brian, I can think of a few acronyms for FAB but I am a lady. How about 'Feeling All Better', or 'Friends and Buddies'.
It was 1969 wasn't it?

Hello Alwayshope and Stevecam
In an interview Sylvia Anderson said "it doesn't stand for anything - but it sounds FAB"
