Dear Friends I have been on hormone therapy for 2 1/2 months now. In recent days I have been experiencing some of the urinary symptoms I was suffering before I started - urgency and inability to hold. I am due for my next hormone injection in a few weeks. Have other people experienced a mild relapse as they got towards their next 3month injection.

  • Hi   I don't think it's the HT pal - I am on Decapeptyl - the same as you and i have not had that issue.

Are you now under the Oncology team yet? I know you were due to start Chemotherapy in the New Year - it would be a question for them, or if the Chemo hasn't started, back to Urology.

I hope this helps - let us know how you get on.

    Best of luck - Brian.

  • Thanks for your response Brian I suspect it might be anxiety I have my oncology meeting tomorrow morning and hope to hear what the plan is for chemo to start.

  • All the best for your oncology meeting tomorrow Skippy. Let us know how you get on. For the urinary problems are you still doing your pelvic floor exercises?

  • Never done any but probably a good time to start. Thanks for the advice and will report back on my oncology meeting. I am a bit nervous it is the first meeting I have had with anyone for over a month

  • Ah Skippy- I hope all goes well tomorrow - make sure you are open and honest and let them know of your issues.

I would think you are 100% right   Anxiety. You will be fine this time tomorrow.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi Skippy 1959

Let us know your results, we’re all different  your right stress does funny things, but your oncologist will know better.

    Stay safe

    Joe

  • Just want to say that I hope your appointment today goes well. Hubbie has his first appointment today following his last chemo and although we know that his PSA has come down even more to 0.06 I am still really anxious about it Husband? He is as cool as a cucumber

  • All the best Shar.

    Let us know what happens.

    Big hugs.

  • After waiting 6 weeks from my referal by Urology , I met with my excellent Oncologist Consultant today.  I was dreading this meeting but my Oncologist made me feel at ease and put forward a positive plan for my treatment. I will start Triple treatment at the beginning of March with Chemo (Doectaxel and Prednisolone Steriods) and Daroulutamide coupled with my existing continuation of 3 monthly hormone injections. Only one more MRI for the timebeing to establish the benchmarks on my Spinal mets.  We discussed my Liver MRI which again was inconclusive. Treatment plan unaffected either way. So after a long anxious wait I now have a timetable and a treatment plan. I have every confidence in the Consulting Team to help me in the best way they can. Thank you all for the support I receive from this Forum.
