Just a quick one regarding probably the lesser of the symptoms we get , I’m only on my second jab and the fatigue tiredness is really bad at mo , as soon as I’ve finished work ( builder ) I’m on settee sparklo , really annoying, Jonny m
Hi Jonny
From my own experience, I'm amazed you can still manage to work, what must be, a very physically demanding job. I was retired when I was on HT - and an office worker before - but I'm not sure I would have been able to carry on, especially whilst on RT. Is your next step RT?
They say exercise is a good thing, so keep going as long as you can!

Stuart
Good morning to you and thanks for reply , yes my building work is very hard work at best of times especially last week throwing 140 concrete blocks about , when I get home I’m definitely done as soon as hit a pillow , but I’d crack up if I’d be at home Wi day time telly on lol , I do find a tramadol helps me am , but don’t want to get used to taking two a day as it’s very addictive to get off em , I’ll try find an alternative method
Cheers , Jonny mac
Hi Jonny
You builder blokes don't need a gym do you!
I will add that the fatigue is likely to get worse. Also its also likely to last for as long as you are due to have injections- in my case - 2 years. That said the side effects do ease off noticeably.
Do you have any stats you can share - PSA, staging TNM etc? Also what is the plan moving forward?
Good luck with your journey!
Regards
Stuart
Good morning,My two psa was 19 and 20 , then a 3 +4 , I have mentioned I have Crohn’s so Opp wasn’t viable or brachnytherpy , so see professor and a consultant together early September, to discuss what’s going to be the right treatment, as I had a colonoscopy to check my Crohn’s a few weeks back and my Crohn’s isn’t active so that gives me hope , just waiting on the 18 biopsies they took in colonoscopies, but I’ll just Carry on keeping fit laying bricks , although I was told to keep covered up by consultant with me have HT ( any one else been told that )?
Cheers , Jonny mac
Hi
I've heard that the RT can cause sensitivity to the sun. Reckon you will be fine unless you wear Speedos on site!

Hi Jonny Yes - even 140 bricks isn't enough exercise!! I am office bound and found two dogs and 10000 steps a day kept me going. Although I felt the urge to sleep it's not got me yet!! As soon as I feel the urge for a nap - it's off for a shower and do something else physical. I have never been near a gym but enjoy walking and keeping moving is great for you - it will pay dividends later - particularly if you go down the RT route.
When you get home from work have a shower, evening meal and out for a long walk - no Coronation Street - and at the end of the walk treat yourself to a half of shandy!!
Yes on HT it's good not to expose your skin to the sun too much - you should also be on calcium and vitamin D tablets to keep up your bone strength.
Best wishes - Brian.

Come on Stuart - Up North we call them "Budgie - Smugglers" and with the effects of the HT I stick a couple of King Edwards down there to keep up appearances!!

Hi Brian
Even us soft Southerners call them Budgie Smugglers but the phrase didn't readily come to mind!
Good point re the Calcium too.
Hope Turkey isn't too hot and your Budgies are getting an airing! Thats Budgies NOT King Edwards!!!!

Thanks for the tips , the 140 blocks means they are 140 wide , blooming heavy buggers , but I had an 80 year old lad laying a few too , bless him , hope I’m still putting em down when I’m 80 , think I’m going back on my syringe of happiness ( I know someone who mixes a good tar tasting concoction) bit under tongue works wonders and not had any for two weeks hence fatigue bein at me , will let you know if it helps
Cheers , Jonny mac
